One Dimension

The blog has become a bit one dimensional. I do apologise but unfortunately there is going to be more of the same. I'm really enjoying fashion and shopping at the moment and I love using the blog as a diary of sorts, flicking back through to see what works and what doesn't.

I have been eyeing off this Country Road trench coat for quite some time. It feels so nice and heavy weight unlike other trenches, I can imagine it being quite warm for Winter. A little out of my price range but cardholders 20% off one day only made the deal a little sweeter.

I had to take a few things back to Witchery because their sizing is so off. The long sleeve stripe sweat that I posted about earlier was so big even in an XS that I couldn't wear it. So back it went. I also needed a reason to buy some leather leggings. An exchange made it a little easier. The dress is so pretty but I ummed and ahhed over it as the weather is due to cool down a fair bit but I do have a few events coming up, hopefully the nice sunny days hang around for a little longer.

This bedding set has been near impossible to find, the Real Living Dotty set released in Target stores nationally. It never even made the shelves at any store close to me and was supposed to be available online. It was on the front cover of Real Living magazine. It frustrates me to no end when something is promoted and then unavailable. Target is guilty of this with almost every catalogue they release. Due to go on sale for 2 weeks from Thursday, sold out on the website by 9am Thursday morning and remains sold out for the duration of the sale. Is this a marketing ploy or are they really that unorganised to make sure there is enough stock to handle a sale? I have been on the waiting list for this bedding set for over a month with barely an email to let me know what's happening, when I happened to spot (excuse the pun) a lonely set on the shelf at my local store. That is how I finally got my mitts on this coveted set.

Now I just need the European pillow cases....

Shoes & Shopping

I think the quality of Tony Bianco shoes is pretty good, but the price of them has really jumped in the last few years. Their sale prices are usually excellent so I try to hold out!

Finally got around to spending my birthday vouchers!

Pooped

Has been a very busy few weeks. I'm back working and because my husband has been on afternoon shift I have been able to work 4-5 days every week. When I get home after work each day my second shift starts - looking after my two munchkins! Totally exhausted but really loving it.

It's great being able to wear whatever I want to work!

Shirt: Kmart, Pants: Cotton On, Wedges: Witchery

Dress: Big W, Belt: Forever New, Sandals: Witchery

Shirt: Temt, Skirt: Valley Girl, Heels: Therapy

Got this shirt stuck in the zipper of the skirt as I was getting undressed, it is well and truly stuck so I won't be able to wear either anymore!!

Sweater: Kmart, Jeans: Cotton On, Boots: Cotton On (Rubi)

Top: Target, Jeans: Country Road, Heels: Target

Have bought quite a few new things for work, but won't do a shopping blog post as I can't quite remember what there is! I'm sure everything will be featured in outfit photos very soon!

Cushions and Toast

Just bought a couple of little things yesterday. Was so glad we decided to go to the shops as the temperature hit 46 degrees! Was still 44 degrees at 5pm.

Country Road Mini Stripe Skirt

I've probably mentioned here before how much I hate paying full price for anything, especially from Country Road and Witchery. But this skirt caught my eye and it just drapes so nicely, I'm sure on a cost per wear basis I will get my money's worth!

Of course buying a new rug meant buying new cushions too!

I've heard good reviews on the Target dry shampoo. At $2 a can it's a bargain - with 30% off totalling $1.40, it's be crazy to not get 2 cans right? They also had dry conditioner that is supposed to add shine, so I got one of those to try too.

My baby boy had his first vegemite soldiers this morning, almost polished them off!

So glad for the cool change today, I have so much tidying and washing to do. These 2 boys are like cyclones!

Target Baby Sale

The Target Baby sale starts today. There's not much that I need but I always like to have a look around. The cot sheet sets are half price so I might get a set for M as he has started daycare and needs to take sheets for naptime.

Ugh I hate our bathroom! I can't wait to have it renovated! Really hoping to do it later this year. In the meantime maybe I should move the mirror into another room??

Holiday Shopping

So this deserves a post of it's own naturally. Even on holidays I love searching for bargains! My main source this time was DFO in Canberra. Kids clothes I especially don't spend much on as they grow out of them so fast. Luckily I have 2 boys so some things will get passed down.

Love that Cotton On Kids had an extra 30% off storewide so some of these things were ridiculously cheap! I think in total over 2 trips I spent about $110. That included jeans, belts, drink  bottles, pj's and tees.

I spotted these jeans in the Rusty store for $25.00 a pair - I almost bought them this Winter for $109.00!
I ducked into Dotti in Bega and managed to score this skirt for $5.00 and rings bracelets for $1.00 and $2.00!
Another Catriona Rowntree for Target Romper.
And a few emergency changes from Big W.
The shops at home are crazy now. Luckily we got most of our Christmas shopping done today in one go!

Home

It's difficult to have nice things when you have little ones, especially boys! We have a lot of things that we bought close to 10 years ago when we first moved in together. I am very grateful that we haven't upgraded much since then as it would now be covered in crayon/baby spew/milk etc etc.

We are lacking a few things though and without wanting to spend too much it is tricky to find things middle of the road, ie; not too cheap and nasty but also not super expensive. Enter 2 of my favourite stores Target and Ikea!

Really love this outdoor dining setting and it's a great price. Will be jazzing it up a little with some colourful cushions.

Also looking at a new bedspread and I'm loving this chevron print one from Target.
