Stuck in bed with a virus yuk! My husband had to take the day off work to look after the boys. Tried to get some icey poles to make me feel better, Woolies totally sold out of anything remotely similar. Had to settle for this Lifesavers thingy.
Happy Easter everyone! Hopefully I'll be feeling better by tomorrow morning, I want my fill of hot cross buns before they disappear for another year.

Cushions and Toast
Just bought a couple of little things yesterday. Was so glad we decided to go to the shops as the temperature hit 46 degrees! Was still 44 degrees at 5pm.
Country Road Mini Stripe Skirt

I've probably mentioned here before how much I hate paying full price for anything, especially from Country Road and Witchery. But this skirt caught my eye and it just drapes so nicely, I'm sure on a cost per wear basis I will get my money's worth!
Of course buying a new rug meant buying new cushions too!
I've heard good reviews on the Target dry shampoo. At $2 a can it's a bargain - with 30% off totalling $1.40, it's be crazy to not get 2 cans right? They also had dry conditioner that is supposed to add shine, so I got one of those to try too.
My baby boy had his first vegemite soldiers this morning, almost polished them off!
So glad for the cool change today, I have so much tidying and washing to do. These 2 boys are like cyclones!

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things
Currently loving at the moment...
This table runner and stone pieces on our new outdoor table.
Dry shampoo. Obviously I'm the last person on earth to try this! I just for some reason thought it wouldn't work, but it does!
This stuff is gross and sticky and streaky when applied, but once it develops it's the best even colour and tan!
Having a bit of a chillax on our back deck while one boy is sleeping and the other playing on the trampoline.
OPI Rainbow Connection. Still love this.
I'm a big fan of sparkling water, loving these new bottle designs.
Doing a huge wardrobe cull and rediscovering things I forgot I had. Score!

Raaarrr!!!
So today was party day! And now I am exhausted! As per usual I have hardly any photos because I was too busy setting up and chatting. Managed to take a few quick outfit photos when we got home.
The dinosaur cake was a hit but melted a fair bit. I didn't get a good photo of it today but I took some as I was making it.
Dress: Witchery, Necklace: Diva, Sandals: Witchery, Ring: Lovisa
The cakes went down well although overall I was disappointed with them. The cupcakes ended up being a rush job but turned out ok. They were chocolate with a cookies and cream icing and a whole Oreo baked into the base. The dinosaur cake was a hit but melted a fair bit. About to go in the oven
Freshly baked
Carved
Finished!
Can't wait to crawl into bed now!

Hiatus
So yes I have taken an unintentional hiatus. Having a toddler and a baby sure is time consuming! Along with terrible internet signal there's been very little time to blog and quite frankly not much too interesting to blog about! I don't really want to totally turn this blog into a baby blog (although I do enjoy reading others) and at the moment my life revolves around my boys so very little posting has been done. But fear not! I have a few posts in the works and hopefully I still have some readers out there!
I'm mighty close to my goal weight now, just really concentrating on toning and getting fit rather than losing kg's from this point on (although I would like to drop a couple more!). Have lost 12kg total and I feel so much better, much more confidence and I have the strength and energy to play with my boys a lot more. This also means all the maternity clothes are well and truly retired and I can't say soon enough!
I mentioned a while back that I was looking for some new swimmers for this Summer. I still haven't bought any! I've been sending myself crazy trying to find some that have enough support. Due to breastfeeding I still have ample cleavage and the standard swimmers out there just aren't enough. Add this to my already fussiness and it has made it impossible to find anything just right. I have narrowed down the search so stayed tuned for another swimsuit post very soon when I finally make my decision (and change it again lol)!
My hubby is turning 30 next week and my son is turning 2 two weeks later so we are having a joint bbq party at a nearby park. Lots of preparing and cake research has been done but baking is something I love doing so hopefully I remember to take photos and blog about the process.
I think that's about it for now but I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things!

12WBT - Round 3
Well so much for being back to regular blogging! I'm finding it very tricky to get 5 minutes to myself with a baby and a toddler, will try to post as often as possible though when I get time!
Thank you all so so much for all the congratulations! Bub is almost 8 weeks old already, smiling and cooing and just being adorable like all babies are! Night times have been very hard, he is really unsettled and we seem to think it is reflux but haven't asked the doctor about it yet, he has all the symptoms so we are doing everything we can to keep his little tummy from upsetting him too much.
Almost everyone I have spoken to is adamant that breastfeeding will really help to drop the baby weight, but I'm 8 weeks in and still 15 kilos over my start weight!! I haven't shifted any since I came home from hospital. So now I'm actively doing something about it. I've joined the 12 Week Body Transformation! I never thought I would join anything like this because I have always been pretty good with cooking healthy meals but I really like the idea of the meal planning and shopping lists being done for you as it saves a lot of time! I also want to get back into running and am about to join the gym again. I was planning on joining yesterday but I woke up with Mastitis! If you don't know what that is then I won't bore you with the details and if you do then you will sympathise with me! But I need a little guidance with weights to get stronger and it is certainly much cheaper than a personal trainer! I am very excited to start! Anyone else doing it this round? Or have results to share? My goal is to drop the 15kg but more importantly get stronger and fitter for chasing my boys around!
I've had to buy a few new things to wear as I still don't fit into any of my clothes. It's my way of trying to make myself feel confident with the extra weight on, I think if I make an effort to look nice instead of hiding out then it will boost my confidence. Will have to try and remember to take photos of my purchases after my hiatus, these all text posts are boring!!

Last Minute Baby Purchases
We haven't had to buy very much for the new arrival because we still have everything from the first time around and having another boy also makes things a lot easier and cheaper. Oh boy would we be in trouble if we were having a girl haha
A few last minute purchases:
We used these for our first baby and they are so great! Makes midnight changes much quicker and bubs sleeps a lot better due to not being able to wriggle out of it! Had to buy a couple of new ones though as the old ones are pretty grubby, even after soaking.
I've been looking for this for ages. Finally managed to order one last night. Just makes change time easier as everything is right there so you don't have to go rummaging around the shelves of the change table for wipes, nappies etc. Would like to have gotten the wipes warmer too but I think it's a bit gimmicky.
I ordered a handmade blanket from Etsy for the munchkin and I absolutely love it but the seller doesn't make them anymore dammit and I wanted something a bit special for the new baby. I've searched high and low for a nice blanket and while this isn't particularly 'special' it's quite cute and a good size.
Still looking for a portable change mat to shove in the baby bag and I like the Skip Hop ones but I think $60 is a bit much to spend on something like that and I can't seem to find much else in the shops. Might just end up using a towel or something for a while.
We are really struggling to think of a boys name! We had a name chosen but a close friend just used it! We hadn't spoken about it so it was a total coincidence! We'd like something classic but they seem to be very popular at the moment and we can't seem to think of anything that hasn't been used by someone we know already. Any suggestions are welcome!

39 Weeks
So I've made it to 39 weeks. My last update was that I needed to have a scan, well bubs is perfectly fine and looks to be a healthy size so that's nothing to worry about. Unfortunately for me I've been in complete agony in my back and legs for the past few weeks. I think it's mainly due to putting on so much weight this pregnancy as last time I didn't put on nearly as much and I had no pain.
Luckily my husband is taking leave from this weekend so he will be able to look after the little munchkin until the new bub arrives. I'm finding it near impossible to do it on my own at the moment so I can't wait to have him home!
We are pretty organised now for bubs arrival. The boys will eventually share a bedroom but for the first few months the baby will be in our room. Hopefully he is a good sleeper!
Another reason for the no blogging is that my laptop is failing miserably. I am considering replacing it with an ipad and then maybe down the line getting a desktop. I find having a laptop is more trouble than it's worth as it is so clunky. So for anyone with an ipad, am I crazy to get one instead of a new laptop? I plan on getting a keyboard to use with it when blogging or anything else that requires extensive typing but other than that I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be a good replacement? Any thoughts?
My next obstetrician appointment is Monday morning, crossing my fingers that I'll be holding my baby boy before then!

36 Weeks
Feeling very uninspired to post outfit shots lately. Every day is pretty much the same thing so I might take a little break until after bub has arrived and I can fit into some normal clothes again!
My obstetrician appointment yesterday went well but she is a little worried about bub being a bit small so I have to have a scan next week to double check all is ok. I'm not worried as the same thing happened with bub #1 and he was born a healthy 6 pounds 15 ounces. Small chance I could be induced early but won't know until after the scan.
Not much else happening around here! Just getting a few bits and pieces ready for the new arrival. A few bargain buys here and there that I'll post about when I remember to take some photos! Also planning on dyeing my hair over the next few days so will blog about the process and the success/failure lol
Loving all the stocktake/mid-year sales starting! Even if I can't buy much I still love browsing! If you see any great sales that I should know about, leave me a comment!

Mothers Day
Whoops I totally forgot to do a Mothers Day post! We had a nice but rushed day, I got breakfast in bed, then ducked over to my mum's for morning tea, then lunch with my husbands mum.
Had a nice day but hopefully one year I can just hang out at home with my boys :)
Card from the little boy and hubby |
Glass jar to store my costume jewellery rings |
Jewellery box to store my earrings |

New Beginning
So I used to have a Tumblr. But then I got bored and stopped posting. I like to ramble so a blog might be better. We'll see.
