Kaftan Love

I love kaftans. But the pretty ones are so expensive! Managed to get these 2 yesterday from Witchery for $95 combined less my $10 reward, so came down to $85. Love that they can be worn over swimmers or as a dress with a slip underneath.

The second one would look lovely with these sandals that are on sale so I might go back to get them!

I also realised that I never actually showed any pictures of my outdoor setting after we had it all set up. We ended up getting one bench seat as I love that the ends of the table fold down and we can move the bench seat around the deck for extra seating. We took the other cushions back as they were way too small, I didn't think this combination would work but I love love love it! So happy with the whole setting. I keep changing around all the bits and pieces on the table top but this is what's on it at the moment. Will take some better pictures when it's a sunny day!

Scorcher

Today is going to be another really hot day. Going shopping again purely to escape the heat!

Dress: Forever New, Sandals: Witchery

I love this dress. I've had it for ages but it's just so comfy that I always reach for it. I wore it a few times when pregnant too.

We were planning on another trip to Ikea this weekend for the Lappljung Ruta rug, but then my husband suggested calling into Spotlight to see what rugs they had.

We will still probably end up with the Ikea one for the dining room but we ended up walking out with this one down to $99 from $299! Really didn't want a shaggy rug as they are so hard to clean but this one is a bit different, I think it will vacuum well and it is sooooo soft!

It's actually a mushroom/silvery colour but for some reason in our lounge room it looks charcoal. I think it picks up on the other colours in the room. Very happy with this purchase!

Ikea Haul Part 1

On our way home from Canberra we decided to call in to Ikea to check out the outdoor settings and decide whether we really wanted the one that I had posted about earlier. It was supposed to be a quick stop. Instead we were there for four hours, with plenty of arguing! I don't know what it is about that place but it brings out the worst in me! I think it's sensory overload. I want to look at everything and hubby wants to head straight for the one main thing we go there for. So we waste time. In the end I managed to grab a few things I originally wanted and we chose the setting, a little different to what we originally picked but lots of things are out of stock unfortunately. Will be going back on Thursday to pick it up so hopefully it's all still there!

Lets hope the next trip is a little less stressful!

Home

It's difficult to have nice things when you have little ones, especially boys! We have a lot of things that we bought close to 10 years ago when we first moved in together. I am very grateful that we haven't upgraded much since then as it would now be covered in crayon/baby spew/milk etc etc.

We are lacking a few things though and without wanting to spend too much it is tricky to find things middle of the road, ie; not too cheap and nasty but also not super expensive. Enter 2 of my favourite stores Target and Ikea!

Really love this outdoor dining setting and it's a great price. Will be jazzing it up a little with some colourful cushions.

Also looking at a new bedspread and I'm loving this chevron print one from Target.
