I finally made some Anzac biscuits! It was a last minute decision so I didn't have a few of the ingredients. I substituted the golden syrup for agave because that's all I had. This obviously altered the flavour a fair bit as the golden syrup is a vital ingredient but oh well! Next time I'll be more prepared!
They taste ok, nothing special.
I really miss baking, don't have as much time or energy these days to bake as much as I used to.
Will have to make a conscious effort to try harder!

Lucky Number 30
Because I have been constantly pregnant/breastfeeding/trying for a baby for the last 2 and a bit years, my body has changed shape and size quite a few times. Realistically I know that there are quite a few things in my wardrobe that are never going to be worn again for various reasons. So I've been selling up a storm on ebay! This has freed up a lot of room (and cash) to squeeze in some much needed warmer clothes for the upcoming winter. Keeping in mind that I am still pregnant and it will be months before I'm back to a 'normal' size, most things I've been buying have been trend based as I only expect to get one season out of them and will be either sold or given away eventually. Hence my love of finding a bargain!
Target currently has 30% off all boots for 4 days only:
These are obviously a rip off of the Acne Pistol boots, I will never be able to afford the real thing so these will have to do for now! I would prefer if the heel was black but oh well.
I like the heel height on both of these as it allows me to run after my toddler without stacking it in the process. I think the taupe ones will go well with the coral and cornflower blue jeans from ASOS.
Target have also started 'Daily Deals', usually about 40% off a particular range or brand for one day only. So far they've had knitwear, manchester, cosmetics etc so I suggest signing up to hear about it!
A few more Essence buys:
I'm yet to try the gel liners as it has taken me ages to find any in stock. They get really good reviews so I'm excited to try them!
These glosses also get good reviews and these 3 colours are are now discontinued so I hope I don't like them too much!
The Colour & Shine eyeshadows are super shimmery and great for the inner corners.
The long lasting eye pencils are great colours and so smooth to apply, I though pink was a bit unusual for an eye pencil but I'm willing to try it!
I haven't tried this eyebrow pencil yet but the colour seems good. Another one that is discontinued unfortunately!
I generally find Dotti to be overpriced for the quality as you can get very similar items from other chain stores at a cheaper price. But I must admit they have good sales!
I know a lot of people don't like these faux fur gilets/vests but I find them really comfy and warm and cute! I really like this one because it is long so I can wear it with leggings. I am very tempted to go back and get it in the cream aswell!
Lastly, a couple of tops from Cotton On:
Phew! Now I'd better get back to listing some more things on ebay....

OOTD: Anzac Day 2012 & 31 Weeks!
I'm on a blogging roll today! Last one I promise!
31 weeks today :)
Please excuse the revolting bathroom, it happens to be the only room with a full length mirror, and the only room that has not been renovated! And yes there are bath toys in the background lol
These Tony Bianco Harlie over the knee boots have been sitting waiting patiently in my wardrobe for the last few months, it's been too warm to wear them. While I usually hate cold weather I am happy for the cool change today as not only do I get to finally wear these but being pregnant has made every day feel at least 5 degrees warmer than it really is and I'm over it!!

To Lob or Not to Lob
So inspired by the lovely Reezy at peanut butter & honey I've decided to cut my hair again.
I had it cut from bum length to a lob (long bob) just after my first son was born and now that I'm almost due with my second I'm getting the itch to cut it again.
I'm thinking something along the lines of these:
So my question is, seeing as though it's a pretty straightforward cut ie; not too many layers or a fringe/bangs or anything like that, would you assume that it's ok to go somewhere more affordable like Just Cuts to have this done? I have a hairdresser that I have been to for the last 6 years and just recently decided to colour it myself instead to save some cash (thanks to some help from some lovely Vogue forum ladies) and I'm very pleased with the result! So should I trust a 'cheaper' hairdresser to cut it also? Rather than paying more than triple just because I've been going to the same place for so long?? Anyone had a similar experience?

Great Lengths
I've been using an Australis mascara for a while now and I've never been that happy with it but it can be very overwhelming choosing a new one as there are so many out there. I'd heard good things about the Maybelline mascaras so I thought I would give one a try.
I've been very happy with this and couldn't believe the difference from my old one. When I saw the whole Maybelline range on sale in Woolworths for $10 each I grabbed a different one to try.
At first I found this one a bit trickier to use as it has a bendy rubber wand and spikes so it didn't seem to grab the lashes as well, but after a few goes I realised that it actually was putting a much finer layer of mascara over every lash, making it easier to do multiple layers without clumping.
Overall I'd say that now I tend to grab the Falsies for when I want a quick layer of mascara and when I am taking more time to do my make up I go for the One by One. Very happy with both!

I love freshly painted nails!
Probably should have done 3 coats instead of 2.
Please excuse my sausage fingers, my hands and feet are so swollen this pregnancy!

ASOS Maternity
I definitely buy from ASOS all the time but I keep putting off trying their maternity range. I'm currently 31 weeks into my second pregnancy so I guess it's now or never!
My sister in laws engagement party is in mid June and I will be 38 and a half weeks pregnant. The dress code is smart casual so I thought one of these would be nice with some taupe ankle boots and a white or cream top - but it needs to be warm because it will be the middle of winter! I was thinking either a cream blazer (which I already own) or a nice fitted sweater but I've yet to see anything I like. Also probably a nice chunky necklace? I'm a bit stumped otherwise so suggestions are welcome!

Essence
So when I'm bored and the little mister is asleep I like to watch YouTube makeup gurus. Don't judge. And the word on the street is that Essence Cosmetics has arrived in Australia, to be stocked in Target only at this point in time. When I heard about how cheap they are going to be sold here I hightailed it to my nearest Target (or 3) to check them out for myself.
Yes it looks like a lot but seriously $1.00 for an eyeliner?! How could I say no!
So far I'm loving the blush in 'Fashionista' and the blush souffle in 'Prima Ballerina' but I haven't had a chance to try out much of the others yet. I'm very much looking forward to doing so though!

Bandwagon
So yes I have jumped on the Revlon Lip Butter bandwagon. And I am proud to do so. Because these things are awesome. I love wearing lipstick but I am a shocker at getting it on my teeth all the time. It annoys me how much lipstick dries my lips out. I love the look of gloss but hate the stickiness. Yay for lip butters!
I got mine in the Priceline buy one get one free promotion but there are also lots of Ebay sellers selling them at much lower prices than AU RRP of $21.95! I think 6 is plenty for now though...
